This is a recipe box I literally whipped up for a wedding gift. My niece, Melissa, called me Wednesday and said that she had a wedding to go to and wanted to know if I could make one of my recipe boxes. I love making these so I said Id do it and I got it done just in the knick of time. I think it turned out pretty cute. I used Flair Bake Off, Spicy Dots, Hot Off the Grill, and Vegetable Medley along with Bazzill cardstock. The stickers and ribbons are American Traditional Designs. The flower is from a bunch I bought from Walmart for .97

Cards, Cards & More Cards
I joined a swap and had to make 6 birthday cards and 6 Christmas cards. I got inspiration for these cards from some magazines, sketches and twopeas.com. This first one I got the inspiration from Paper Crafts 2006 Holiday Cards & More magazine, it was also similar to some I made for Christmas last year
The inspiration for this one came from Paper Crafts 2007 Card Fashion magazine which by the way is full of lots of ideas and inspiration
Another one inspired by Paper Crafts Card Fashion
And yet another one from Paper Crafts Holiday Cards & More
I think this is also Paper Crafts

This is one I made from a sketch at sketch this cards http://janellerichmond.typepad.com/sketchthiscards/ sketch #23
Another inspiration from a Two Peas in a Bucket member
And finally another sketch I did from one of the gals at Wisconsin Scrappers http://sketchesbytamara.blogspot.com/ Card Sketch #9
I had a lot of fun with this swap, it has inspired me to make more cards (even though I haven't made any yet).

What Ive been up to.
Ive been so busy scrapping & gardening I haven't had a chance to blog. This past week I participated in a virtual crop on one of the scrapbook message boards that I frequent. I had a lot of fun & got 2nd in points! Most of all I got lots of stuff done that needed to get done but of course none of it is finished :)
Here's some of the layouts I did.

So many projects so little time.
I just wanted to post some of the layouts/projects Ive been working on. If you know me, you know that I can't just have one project that Im working on, I have many and right now I even have the different projects scattered on my desk so I can just pick up where I left off on whatever Im in the mood to scrap. The projects I am currently working on are a wedding album for my mother-in-law, a garden journal for myself and a construction album for the project that my church is working on.
I wasn't sure on the colors of this layout at first, but I think it all came together alright. I used sandpaper in the title and to make little piles of sand. The red boxes are left for some journaling.
This is the cover to my garden journal. I had so much fun putting this together, the chicken wire gave me some grief and the glue dots wouldn't hold it down, I still have to figure something out to adhere it. This has so much texture to it and lots of chipboard (my new favorite embellishment). I think my favorite part of this though is the crackling I did. Now hopefully I can get the pages for the journal done before it's time to start planting.
I used my new favorite swirl stamps from Autumn Leaves on this layout and stamped right over the picture, the "bride" & "groom" is a rub on.

Finally done!
Yay, Im done! This is the 2nd page for Tamara's grandkids album. This has lots of room for lots more pics. This is also the Paper Loft Well Worn paper that I just love. I will definately be finding something I can use this paper for myself.
Almost done with these CJ's

Another CJ
I got one more done tonight, only one more to go yipeeee! This layout is for Jaimie's toddler album. The orange square opens for hidden pictures and journaling. This layout is a little more simple than my usual but once the pics are added it'll be complete and adorable.

More CJ Layouts
I finished a couple more layouts.
This is Andrea's A-Z about me girl layout. Im hoping that mounting cardstock on the back of the pages will help take the ripple out of the paper. I stamped the flowers on using glitter glue. Hubby thinks the l.o. is too busy, I just think it's girly :)
This is a draft of Kathy's "mom" layout. I haven't decided if I should use the flowers or not, maybe the simplicity of the scrolls is enough?

This is Connie's growing up boys layout. It's not quite done yet, I have to pick up the letters to put "grade" on the 2nd page. I like how the little journaling parts turned out, I made them like little folders that pictures or journaling can be tucked into.

CJ Swap
Ok so I haven't been real good at keeping up on my blog lol. I just wanted to post some of the pages Ive been working on for a cj swap Im in. Ive had lots of fun with all the different themes.
This is Melissa's doggie layout. My favorite part of this layout besides the theme is the colors and the charms on the bottom of the page.

Danelle's baby shower layout. I can't help but use pink on a girl page, Id actually use pink on every page if I could :) I liked the chipboard that I crackled for this layout.
Kathie's A to Z All About Me Boy layout. This page has hidden journaling under the photo mat on the 2nd page, that was fun to do but I think my favorite thing on the page is the "B" with the little "brother" tag on it.
And Kathy's Disney Autograph's layout. This one was a challenge for me but I had fun shopping for the supplies for it. My favorite part is the pink glittered "S".
This is Dawn's Tropical Vacations layout. I had a lot of fun with this one, my favorite part is the cute flip flop stamps & the starfish.
This is Kristine's Love Quotes layout. I love the colors she chose for her album, pink and brown, my favorite parts of this layout is the swirly stamps in the corners and I also like how the quotes turned out.
This is all that is complete, I put together 2 more layouts this evening but I have to decide if it's final before I attach everything. I'll post more layouts as I finish them. My goal is to have these finished by the 1st of April so I better get scrappin!
