Time for another card sketch

It's that time of week again, sometimes it creeps up on me and Im scrambling to get a card done...I'll admit that :) This week's card I made for a friend who is having a birthday on Sunday, I had the stamp that I knew was perfect for the card and her fave color is purple so I just worked around that. I think it turned out ok & I think she'll like it anyway. Here's the card

And here is the sketch for the card.

Time for another card sketch

It's Thursday (well actually it's late Wednesday night) which means it's time for another card sketch from Tamara's sketch blog. I had some fun with this one because I got to use my latest cuttlebug embossing folder. The mushrooms I cut from some patterned paper I have, they're so cute, I love mushrooms almost as much as cupcakes for my cards. The middle mushroom is pop dotted as is the "thanks". Anyway, here's my card.

And here's the sketch.

Head on over to Tamara's blog http://sketchesbytamara.blogspot.com/ to see what the other design team members did with the sketch and if you make a card with the sketch be sure to post a link to it in the comments so we can all see.

Thursday, time for another card sketch

I made a birthday card for this week's sketch (one can never have too many bday cards on hand). This one was pretty simple, I got my trim & butterfly for this one in the craft dept. at walmart. I added stickles to the "happy birthday" Im not quite sure I like how they turned out. Anyway, here's the card.

And here's the sketch. Check out what the other design team members did with the sketch at http://sketchesbytamara.blogspot.com/ Have a great Thursday everyone!

Anniversary Card

Tomorrow DH & I celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. I can't believe it's already been 3 years! I decided to make dh a card. It's a wrap card with a pull out insert. I found the saying online, I love it! It says "you are the best part of my past, the joy of my present, the promise of my future. You are my love, Happy Anniversary" He's been having a rough day so hopefully this will help brighten his day tomorrow. Here's the card.

Haven't posted in awhile...

so I thought I'd add a couple cards that I never got posted but made awhile ago. Here's some really cute baby cards that I made. I got the templates from the paper crafts magazine website. Aren't they super cute! I ended up giving these to my mom for mother's day along with a bunch of other cards for her stash. The next baby card I need though I'll definately be doing one of these.

Tomorrow is Tamara's s sketch so I'll be posting my card I made for that plus I've got a couple cards to make for this week. So keep a look out for new posts on here :)

Card Sketch #45

I haven't posted in awhile, that's because it's spring and Ive been out working in the flower beds. I just love this time of year, all the blooms are so cheery and I love designing my flower beds each year too. If you want to check out what I've been doing in my yard you can check out my gardening blog at http://www.thepinkpetalgarden.blogspot.com/ I need to make some updates over there too, hopefully that will be soon. I hope to be keeping up on it through the summer so if you want to see how my gardening goes, keep checking back.

Onto the card sketch from tamaras sketch blog. I literally whipped my card up last night after coming in from weeding and planting. I made this card for my brother who just took his journeyman plumber's license test and passed! The paper I used is Paper Loft Well Worn. Ive used this paper a lot, I really like it especially for the masculine cards. The inside of the card says "all your hard work paid off".
