The Pink Elephant Challenge

This week's challenge at The Pink Elephant was to create something by recycling something. Since spring is here my crafting and spare time starts going towards my gardening so this week I made something for my garden. They're plant markers. Since they're going to be stuck in the pots they had to be weather proof. I used some old silverware (knives) and pop cans as my recycled items. I used alcohol inks on my knives to give them some color. The flower & butterfly we cut from the pop cans using my cuttlebug and the tags I punched out with one of my punches. I had fun creating these and was thrilled to find out I could die cut and punch the aluminum cans. I see some more garden crafting out of these in the future.

Here's the plant markers.

The Pink Elephant Challenge

I've been mia for awhile because I've been sick and really haven't been scrappin' much. I did manage to get a couple cards done this week though.

This week's challenge at The Pink Elephant is being sponsored by The Greeting Farm and we got to play with some digital stamps for our challenge which is a color challenge this week. Our colors we were to use are pink, light yellow & light green. I'm not much of a colorer so coloring my Anya stamp was a bit of a challenge for me but I got it done :)

So, here's my first Anya card. I used the Anya Alice image for this one.

Be sure to stop on over to The Pink Elephant to check out what the other design team members made and we'd love for you to play along too!

Pink Elephant Challenge

Time for another challeng from The Pink Elephant. This week's challenge was to make an Easter card. For my card I used a Dream Weavers stencil & ran it through my cuttlebug to emboss the bunnies then I inked the embossing. I used fun flock on the bunnies then added a pom pom for their tails. For the scallop border I used two different Rosie's Roadshow stamps for the carrots and "I smell carrots" saying.

Be sure to head over to The Pink Elephant to see the rest of the design team's cards.

Card Sketch Challenge

We had a great blog hop weekend at The Pink Elephant. I'll be announcing the winner of my blg candy from this weekend later on this week.

This week's challenge at The Pink Elephant is a sketch challenge. I love working with sketches, they give me a good starting point for my cards. I made an Easter card this week since I have to get a few made and sent out.

I made my eggs out of some Bazzil Bling cardstock using a punch and then ran them through my cuttlebug using the swiss dots, swirls & stylized flowers floders then decorated them up a bit. I added a little scallop punched border and some pom pom trim at the bottom, then I added some little prima flowers with some purple jewels and then added a little handstitching to the corners.

Here's the sketch we used this week. Be sure to stop over at The Pink Elephant to see what the other design team members did and if you play along with us be sure to link your card too!

TPE Challenge #5

Time for another challenge from The Pink Elephant This week's challenge is a color challenge and we had to create something with the colors brown, pink & green. I used my new nestabilities butterfly die on this week's challenge to adorn this A2 box that can hold a stack of notecards (which I haven't made yet :) ).

The Pink Elephant Challenge #4

This week's challenge at The Pink Elephant was to use ribbons and diecuts. I had fun with this card, I started out using some of my new patterned paper from the Colorbok Friendly Forest collection and pulled the colors from there. I used my Martha Stewart scallop dot border punch for the edges of the card base and can I just say I absolutely love border punches & I think I need to grow my collection hehe (I only have two), I used the swiss dots & stylized flowers Cuttlebug embossing folders to emboss the cardstock. I used my new Butterfly Reflections Spellbinders die for the butterly & added some dew drops to it. I tied a bow around the card then strung some buttons & flower onto a Chloe's Closet Making Memories pin & poked it through the ribbon.

Be sure to head on over the The Pink Elephant to see what the other design team members did & we'd also love for you to play along. Thanks for stopping by!

The Pink Elephant Challenge

This week's challenge at The Pink Elephant was a sketch. I decided to do a layout instead of a card this week, I know I can't believe it either! LOL I used some more of the Sabrina Making Memories paper (love this line!), my new Martha Stewart punch for the scalloped strips of paper and some Prima say it in crystals

Here's the sketch for this week's challenge.

All That Glitters Challenge

This week's challenge over at The Pink Elephant is to use glitter, stickles, bling etc. I created this card with a shimmery pink cardstock, embossed it with my textile Cuttlebug embossing folder then added glitter to the embossing. I cut & embossed the butterfly out of acetate using the Cuttlebug butterfly emboss/die then I added some pink & silver jewels as embellishments. Be sure to head on over and check out what the rest of the design team created & please post your creation too if you play along. I found that photos don't really show glitz very well :) Also the pinks on the card match a lot better than in this pic.

Stop by tomorrow to see my card for the Recipe Challenge.

Pink, Black & White Challenge

Our first challenge is up at The Pink Elephant. The first challenge is a color challenge so we had to create a card, layout or altered item using the colors of the new blog, pink, black & white. I was excited about this since I just bought a bunch of paper and embellishments from the Sabrina collection by Making Memories.
For my card I used my SU scallop punch to scallop the white cardstock, pink polka dot and black polkadot paper. I also embossed the white cs with my swiss dots folder using my cuttlebug. The "love" was cut out using the cuttlebug love language die. The flowers & crystals are Prima.

I'd love to see your comments and don't forget to head over to The Pink Elephant to see the other Design Team's work & we'd love to see what you do with the challenge.
