Blog Challenge posted on Scrapfreak

Here's my answers to the challenge from www.scrapfreak.com

What was your first...

1. concert? I think it was an Amy Grant/Michael W. Smith concert in Rockford IL, I was probably preteen age.

2. car? A 1985 Renault Alliance, boy did that little car get the gas mileage, it was a 5 speed that I learned on, haven't owned an automatic since.

3. job? So-Fro Fabrics, I've always been a crafty gal :)

4. scrapbook layout about? I think it was one I did at a Creative Memories show that I brought college pictures to.

5. grade teacher's name? Is this first grade, it would be Ms. Domask, a mean teacher I will never forget, she wasn't much taller than us kids but boy was she mean. I remember she used to tie the rowdy kids up to their desks with jump ropes.

6. pet? We had a poodle when I was born, don't remember him much. "My" first pet was a chocolate lab, Amber, still have her.

7. vacation as an adult? I think this was a trip to Colorado my 1st year of college over spring break skiing.

8. boyfriend's name? Hmmm boyfriend, boyfriend? Loni or maybe it was Phillip.

9. living arrangement after moving out of your parents' home? Does college count even though I moved back in with them after college? Otherwise it was a little 2 bdrm apartment in a small town nearby which was the upstairs of an elderly couple's home. Rent was $225.00 per month, lived there 10 months.

10. scrapbook message board to be a member on? Two Peas In a Bucket, but I don't really post over there.

Birthday Card

This is my card for Tamara's card sketch this week.

2008 Scrapping Goals

I've been seeing a lot of great ideas on some of the message boards that I frequent for 2008. I've committed to 3 challenges that I hope I can keep up with for 2008. One is a Christmas card challenge where I'll be making my cards each month so I am completely done by the end of October.

The other is a 2008 year in review album where I will be scrapping a 2 page layout each month for the month prior so by this time next year I should have a complete album for everything that happened in 2008.

And the other one is a scripture a week challenge. We're given a word and then we find a favorite scripture about that word then scrap it. I think I will just do a mini album where I'll just jot down the scripture and maybe a little bit of journaling about the scripture.

For the new year I am also hoping to keep better track of my spending and my projects I finish. I've already altered a little notebook that I can jot down my goals and accomplishments for the month. I think I'll jot down my spending in there too.

I hope all of you reach your scrapping goals for 2008 and Im going to try my hardest to stay on track with mine!

My First Etsy Sale!

I listed 2 things on Etsy on new years day and I sold one that day. I didn't want to part with it but I can always make more. It was my cute little coaster album that I used Reminisce my little monkey paper on. Love this collection! I think I posted pics earlier on my blog, but here it is again.

Holiday Planner

Here's a holiday planner I made this weekend, hopefully it will help me to keep organized with the upcoming holidays. I got this idea from http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/

A close up of the title, I used liquid applique with some embossing powder to snow cap the letters and give them some sparkle.

A close up of the binder clips that I got from Staples on clearance. I added the snowflake rub ons to them, the colors went perfectly with the paper.

And this is a word garland that I made this weekend too, I haven't decided if I want to keep it yet or not.
