Mother's Day Cards

Yes I know, Mother's Day is long over, I realized though that I didn't post my cards I made on here so I thought I'd get them on. One was for my mom and one was for my mother in law. These were fun to do, I saw the idea over at splitcoast stampers.

My Last Recipe Challenge

Tamara is taking some time off from the Recipe Challenges so this will be my last card. This week our recipe was to use hardware, dry embossing and notebook paper. I had a difficult time this week, I think it was because I haven't been much in the papercrafting mode lately but things slowly came together on this one. I didn't intend for it to end up being all green but that's how things ended up coming together. For the notebook paper I used some of my MM paper, the dry embossing is the swiss dots folder on the scallop oval and the hardware is the eyelet that I strung the ribbon through. I used my hero arts tree stamp that I bought last fall and still hadn't used, Im not sure why, I really like the set.
Be sure to head on over to sketches by Tamara to see what the rest of the team did with the challenge.

The Pink Elephant Challenge #16

This week at TPE we got to use a sketch that Robin, one of our design team gals, made. Pop on over to The Pink Elephant to see the sketch we used and to see what the rest of the team made. I had so much fun playing with the sketch I ended up making 3 cards!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend. Ive been doing some work in the yard and Monday I'll be spending the day with my family over at my parents house sitting down by the river and going for a pontoon boat ride. I'll have a few more cards to share this week so stop back!

The Pink Elephant Challenge #15

This week's challenge at The Pink Elephant was to use monograms. I made a few things this week. My first project is a luggage tag. I will be taking an Alaskan cruise with my family next month so I wanted to make a cut luggage tag to put on my suitcase. Here's a pic of the front and back of the tag. I think this will help me find my suitcase a little bit better too :) Then I decorated a gift bag and matching tag for a baby gift for my friend's new baby boy. Here's the tag.
And here's the bag.

And since you usually think of personalized stationary when you see monograms I thought I'd do a repost of some stationary I had made my mom back in January.
There were some other projects I wanted to do but I didn't get around to them this week so maybe you'll see the on my blog in the future :) Thanks for stopping by and check out what the other gals made this week at The Pink Elephant.

Wisconsin Scrappers Challenge

This week's challenge at Wisconsin Scrappers was a card sketch and we used Carol's sketch, which was used for a challenge at The Pink Elephant for our creations. Both of my samples have been posted on my blog in the past but I'll repost them for this challenge. The first one was the sample I made for The Pink Elephant. And the wnd one you saw a couple weeks back. Be sure to check out what the other gals made with the sketch on the Wisconsin Scrapper's Blog.

Do you like my blog design?

My scrappy friend, Tina, that is on The Pink Elephant design team with me designed my new blog layout & header, I absolutely love it, simple, pink with a little touch of french country would you call it? She did a fab job! I made a card inspired by my new blog design, it is also cased from another scrappy friend on the design team, Carol. When I saw her card I just had to order the chandelier stamps which I absolutely love! I gave the card to my sister for her birthday, she loved it. If I ever find some spare time, ha, I might make some similar to sell in my etsy store.

I haven't been very active on my blog lately, I feel like Im just crazy busy yet Im not sure what I've been doing lol, it's not gardening though because I haven't even had a chance to get out in the yard yet to start planting my flowers or even enjoy the spring blooms. I am hoping I can get more focused and get back to creating and get into my gardens too real soon.
