My first Alaska layout

I decided to just scrap whatever I feel like with my AK pictures rather than start with day one. This is towards the end of our trip, a couple pics of one of the lodges we stayed at. I used all core'dinations paper for this layout. I am loooving the core'dinations, you'll be seeing a lot more of it from me :)

TPE Challenge #24 - Animals

This week at The Pink Elephant we had the opportunity to use some digital stamps by Dustin Pike, you can see his blog which has a link to his stamps HERE he has some really cute stamps and even offers freebies every wednesday if you're interested in giving digi stamps a try. This week's challenge was to create something with an animal theme. I have 2 different cards to share with you today.

For my first card I used the Cupeecake Monkey stamp with some bazzil cardstock and pp from my stash. I added stickles to the sprinkles on the cupcake and the background was embossed with the cuttlebug number collage embossing folder. I had bought a Paper Wishes 3D cupcake template a couple months ago because I just love cupcake stuff and thought I should make one to go along with this card.

And my second card was the owl stamp. I used some reminisce summer fading pp behind the owl and some core'dinations cardstock embossed with the cuttlebug leafy branch embossing folder and I attached a little twig for my owl to sit on.

I made my owl dimensional by adding some pop dots to him

Be sure to head over to The Pink Elephant to see what the rest of the team did, they did a fantastic job this week! And thank you Dustin for these fab stamps!

Christmas Cards All Year Round Stamp Challenge

They're having a challenge over on the Christmas cards all year round blog to use one stamp three different ways. I used my Stampendous Snowman stamp which is acrylic and shapeable, you can make your snowman tall and skinny or short & stocky. For my first card I stamped my image, cut him out & embossed him then added some embellishments to him.

For the second card I stamped him on patterned paper and decorated him up a bit.
And on the last one I just stamped him and colored him and added some accessories to him (actually this one looks more like a girl :) )

Core'dinations First Challenge

I am excited that my lss has started carrying the core'dinations cardstock, and lately I have had the chance to play around with some of it. Core'dinations is having a challenge this month to use something not scrapbook related to make an affect on your cardstock. I used a toy tractors tires and sanded the impression into my core'dinations cardstock to make my little boy construction card. This was fun and I can definately see using these tire marks in the future with some old construction pictures from my family's construction business.
