Some more Christmas cards

Yes I've been slacking off on posting my daily Christmas cards
so here's a few. This is a class I'm doing on Tuesday.
This card was made with a Northwoods stamp colored with Copic markers than glittered.

I used a clear set of Stampendous snowman stamps for this quick card then colored them with my Sakura Starburst gel pens.

This guy was so cute, I couldn't pass him up, he's a Northwoods stamp also. I love the cardinals. I colored this one with Copics then glittered it. My Martha Stewart icicles punch was a perfect fit for this card.

Another simple card. I used the Hero Arts pine branch stamp & colored it with Copics. The cardinals are Heartfelt Creations stamps which I stamped and colored with Copics then cut them out and glittered the card.

Easy Canvas Prints

I recently received a canvas print from Easy Canvas Prints The process was very easy to navigate, the hardest part was choosing a picture to have done :) I was pleased with the canvas, I only wish I would've ordered a larger one I ended up with a 16x20 print. The quality is very nice and I had it in no time at all. If you're ever considering canvas, I highly recommend Easy Canvas Prints. They often offer deals so be sure to check them out frequently.

Deer & Snowman

I'm not typically a big colorer & try to stay away from stamps that need much coloring but lately I have been intrigued with Northwoods Stamps. There really wasn't too much coloring with this one and the glitter really adds a lot.

Another Simple Card

Here's another super simple card. I had a class tonight and this was one of the cards they made. I called it the 2 minute card because it is that simple. You could totally whip up a ton of these for your cards but I don't like making multiples of a card. I had this Tim Holtz embossing folder for about a year before I finally used it. Here it is
Mirror card is hard to photograph so this pic is kinda funky but you get the idea.

Simple & Quick Christmas Card

There's no denying my favorite tool for card making is my Cuttlebug, I love that you can make simple cards in no time and they look fabulous. For this card I used the holly embossing folder, colored the berries red, used my brayer and a glue pad to add adhesive to the embossing then sprinkled glitter over it and mounted it to a piece of mirrorcard. To finish the card off I used my scor pal to put two score lines at the bottom of the card. Best part of this card, it can be mailed for .44. I always have a hard time with that.

A Month of Christmas Cards

If there's any of you left out there that read my blog :) I have decided to try to get back into my blogging this month and share with you a Christmas card a day for this month. I'm in full blown Christmas card making for my own stash and for the classes I have been teaching I thought I might as well share them on my blog too. I'll post my first card this evening so stay tuned :)

The Pink Elephant Challenge #100

Hey everyone, I am still around :) I've been MIA from my blog for awhile as I have been spending a lot of time with family. The end of March my nephew was killed in Afghanistan so it's been a busy & emotional past couple months. He was buried in Arlington and we got to go there for the burial, what an honor. He is greatly missed. Through this I have realized how much I have taken the freedoms of this country for granted and those that sacrifice for us every day.

Other things I have been doing is teaching classes in my home and dying ribbon and selling it on etsy and my website The Pink Petal Designs I would like to get some other things to sell on my site too so in the near future I will be carrying some scrapping and card making supplies along with card and scrapbook kits.
Here is a sample of my ribbon that I dye, this one is a new favorite color "robins egg".

I had the honor to sponsor the challenge this week with my ribbon at The Pink Elephant Challenge and will be offering a buy 3 get 1 free sale on my ribbon for the rest of the month. So be sure to pop over there and check out what the girls have done with my ribbon this week. I also created a card for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to either check out my etsy page or website if you're interested in purchasing some of my ribbon!

A Birthday Card

I really haven't been sharing much, I guess my blog has been on the back burner. So I thought I'd share a card I made in January for my mom's birthday.

I created a collage of stamping for the background using a Hero Arts definition stamp and butterflies, the damask stamp is from Memory Box. I LOVE the collage look! I also used the Hero Arts Envelope Pattern background stamp for the background on the floral image. That floral stamp is also Hero Arts called Flower Swirl Vine which happens to be 25% off this week over at Hero Arts I colored the flowers using my Copic markers. That ribbon bow is made from my Mint Leaf Hand Dyed Ribbon that I have for sale on my website. I also used some Core'dinations cardstock for my card, I just love that stuff!

Keep checking back, I have some fun stuff planned for April with lots of giveaways & you won't want to miss out on that!

Neglected

Yes, I know I have neglected my blog I've been too busy posting on my Facebook business page and website to come over here and post. My little business is actually off to a good start. I thought I'd share the cards I will be doing for my next class next week. Some of them are repeats from ones I've done on my blog before so they'll look familiar. The class is a masculine class with 6 cards.

Here they are

Howdy Strangers!

Wow has it really been over a month!?! I have been neglecting my little blog while I have been stepping out into my new little venture this year. For quite awhile now I have been thinking about teaching scrap classes out of my home, well last month I got a phone call from a lady that takes some of my classes at the lss and she's got a group of 6 ladies that get together to take classes and they need a teacher to teach them. So I took that as a sign that I needed to give this little venture a try. So I have been busy getting my little scrap studio all set up and ready to give this a try.

Now, I have a little something to share with you today. My lss just got in some yummy October Afternoon paper that was calling my name so I paired that with a Hero Art flower stamp and created this little card. I also used a sketch from Sassy Lil Sketches (lovin' their sketches) for the design for my card.

Here's the sketch
